Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the dog world. They are very small that they are slightly longer that it is tall.
There are two kinds of Chihuahua, smooth and longhaired. The longhaired type is soft, flat and slightly curly, usually with undercoat. The smooth has soft, glossy, straight hair.
Chihuahua is an alert and graceful dog. They bond closely to one or two people. This breed is curious, lively and intelligent. They are deeply and constantly affectionate. This dog has unique personality.
They tend to dislike other pets and other children. It requires early socialization to be comfortable with strangers and children.
The Chihuahua requires minimal grooming. The Smooth coat variety requires only occasional brushing. The Long coat variety should be brush several times a week with a soft bristle brush.
Chihuahua can adapt well of how much exercise you would like to give. A 20 – 40 minutes exercise everyday is enough for them.
A short walk, outdoor play or indoor play with toys is ideal for them. It is recommended that Chihuahuas to wear a harness instead of a collar due to their fragile tracheas.
