Dalmatian originated from Great Britain. They are developed as a coach dog.
Their job was to guard passengers and property. Later, they became a firehouse dog and until now, they are still used as a mascot for fire-awareness education programs.
Dalmatian stands out for their unique spotted coats; black or liver spots on a white background.
This dog is sociable, intelligent, friendly, and affectionate. They make a great companion dog.
Dalmatian is full of stamina. It has great endurance combined with speed. When it comes to exercise, they should be given sufficient running time to build up and maintain their muscled shape.
There is no problem training this breed. They learn easily and they are eager to please but training should be consistent. Dalmatians respond positively to praise when they have done something well.
Excessive praise when they have done well is important. Dalmatian has short coat. Grooming is minimal. Running a grooming mitt over their coats once a week and finishing off with a soft cloth to promote shine is ideal for them.
