Pomeranian originated from Germany. This breed is a small dog with a foxy appearance with small erect ears and almond-shaped eyes. It has a double coat with a thick, soft undercoat and a profuse, straight outer coat. It comes in all colors and patterns. Daily brushing of their coat is needed to prevent matting. Monthly bathing is also recommended. This breed is prone to tooth loss; regular dental care is a must.

Pomeranian is loving, gentle, affectionate and eager to please. It is also fun-loving, outgoing and active dog. However, it is not recommended in homes with small children. This breed makes an excellent guard dog, it will bark when it sense danger.
Pomeranians requires regular short walk and play time. This breed also has the ability to learn tricks. Poms adapt well to city life and adult only households.
