Rottweilers was developed as all-purpose dog in the town of Rottweil. Until now, they are still considered as all-purpose dogs. They are used as guard dogs, watchdogs, police dogs, companions and show dogs. These dogs are large, powerful, muscular dogs with an almond shaped dark eyes and drop ears. Their coat is short and smooth with rust or mahogany markings.

Rottweilers are good guardian dog. They are friendly, calm, courageous and hardworking dog. This breed is affectionate to their family and if well socialized they can get well with children and other pet in the house. However, this dog is dominant in nature. They require firmness and consistency from an early age from an equable, calm handler.

Rottweilers loves to swim and catch ball. They love exercise and will thrill to the challenges of any outdoor sports.
