Yorkshire Terrier is also known as yorkie. It is a long-haired terrier with steel blue and tan color. Yorkie is a very small and well-balanced dog. It has natural erect V shaped ears and small black button nose. Puppies are born with black and tan color and changes to steel blue and tan around 2 years. The Yorkshire Terrier's coat requires daily grooming. The hair on top of the head grows long and is usually secured with a band or bow.

Yorkie is a lap dog. It prefers to be held all the time. This dog is bright, playful and loyal companion. It is affectionate to their owner and it tends to get along with children and other pet. This breed is quick to learn but it requires consistency and firmness during training.
Yorkie requires minimal amount of exercise. It is suited for short walks and ideal for apartment living or homes with small yards.
